Ellen Bowers is a passionate Mahjong instructor and founder of The Tile Society, dedicated to helping players of all skill levels build confidence, sharpen strategy, and discover the joy of the game. With a patient, engaging teaching style, Ellen makes learning Mah Jongg approachable and fun, whether students are picking up a tile for the first time or looking to elevate their play.
Through beginner classes, intermediate instruction, guided play sessions, and private lessons, Ellen creates a welcoming environment where players can develop their skills, connect with others, and deepen their appreciation for the rich traditions and modern strategy of American Mah Jongg. Her goal is simple: to help every student feel comfortable at the table and excited for the next game.
